Holy ****, great deal by the Sox. Hope we look into Teheran trade.

Makes me wonder if the Cubs would've done a Teheran for Jimenez plus a lower level prospect. They likely didn't value Teheran as much as they do Quintana.
The White Sox farm is likely the #2 farm right now just behind Atlanta.
Any thoughts on what the ATL equivalent would be to Jimenez + Cease? Acuna + Gohara maybe?
Prospects are that.. prospects. The Soxs traded Eaton for a haul, but the problem is Gio has been awful and Lopez is meh this year. They may find that they gave away Eaton for a bund of AAA wash outs.
/and Eaton might not ever come back to where he was after the knee..
Well, Quintana is controllable and has been consistent, but Eloy is a steep price to pay.
Overall, it's probably a fair trade for both, but it does reek of despair for the Cubs.
That Cubs stacked system is eroding becuase they have no pitching foundation to fall back on. They go in to next year with Lester, Quintana, and will have to make more trades or sign free agents to fill out the rotation.
If there is a good (not even great offer), the Braves need to trade Teheran now.
I'm not confident he is going to get better. And if Q is bringing back a top 5 MLB prospect, then Theran may be able to fetch something juicy from a desperate team

DAMNNN. Crazy good deal for the Sox.
Spot on. The front office missed a massive opportunity to get a haul for him last deadline, but it might not be the best route to wait and hope he regains that form. I'm fine with cashing out now. He's closing in on 1,000 career innings being mostly healthy, and I'd like to have something for him before that changes.
If they didn't do it last year they won't this one...but they should pay attention to his home and road splits. Even though they are extreme....it's scary.
Braves need to try and pimp JT's 2.53 ROAD ERA this year and see if there any takers
