I was almost more frustrated with Albies tonight. He had multiple routine opportunities to get a run in and sucked.
He absolutely cannot do that, especially in the leadoff spot.

There's really nobody left that he can turn to "moves wise" unless he throws up his hands and gives up on trying to stay with developing the starters, and even that hasn't worked outside of Fried over recent years. Kimbrel helps, but because he decided to risk building his pen around injury prone guys, he really needs half an entirely new bullpen and that's impossible to get this early.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

That’s pretty bad but I know Ga milestones tests are being taken at schools this week so most parents aren’t gonna let there kids out late this week.It might be a good thing we aren’t showing up though since it gives Liberty an excuse next season if they don’t find value and don’t add anyone. They could then have a legit excuse as to why payroll goes down.

I don't know what you expect 20-25k a nighr is respectable in a town of transplants with a fringe contender.

Hoping it picks up in the summer. Last thing that needs to happen is the Battery dries up. I worried that if they didn’t invest more into the team fans might not show up. If we find ourselves in 4th place by June, we could be looking at 115 million payrolls for a long time.

No idea if attendance will be an issue, but here's the Wednesday games and attendance for last season through may:
    Nats - 29,834
    Phillies - 22,135
    Cubs - 28,264
    Mets - 21,449
    Avg - 25,421

    This season:
    Cubs - 37,398
    Dbacks - 22,356
    Avg - 29,877

We have 2 more Wednesday home games (cards and nats) before June, so we will have equal sample size then

Thanks. I should have said I didn’t know how we compare to last year. I just hope we don’t fade in the standings and drop off our average

He's been really good in Atlanta and pitched like a legit No. 2. Having an elite defense behind him certainly helps, but he's been a breath of fresh air.

A solid guy slotted for the 9th inning allows the rest of the pen to move up to situations in which there is less leverage. I don't know if that is necessarily easier, but I always think you use your best bullet for the highest leverage situation and that's almost always in the 8th or 9th innings. It may not have made a difference last night, but in the long run having a "nail down" guy is really important.
