He's definitely an offensive upgrade over Ender and Nick, but only a clear upgrade over Nick in terms of overall value. If we didn't already have Ender/Neck to platoon with Duvall (and maybe Riley or something depending on what Camargo does), then Joc might make some sense. Since we already have them, its hard to envision many trades that don't feel mostly lateral. The one that Harry proposed where we'd send Camargo, Jenista, and Wilson seems like a significant downgrade long term and a marginal downgrade in the short term **. Trading Ender for a 3rd baseman would likely mitigate some of that short term downgrade (maybe even turn it into an upgrade), but it would also presumably cost us more of our high end prospects for a player of note, further downgrading our long term vision.
Like a lot of Harry's posts, they are kinda fun to think about since he always forces you to figure out a valid way to make it work. But that's because they are often convoluted and don't seem to accomplish a great deal other than moving around parts. I'm talking more about his more recent win now trades, and not the rebuild era trades designed to deal everyone with a functioning brain stem off the roster so as to not waste a drop of value on losing teams.
** Edit: Its only a marginal downgrade because we'd be dealing away Camargo and Wilson away, hurting both our offensive and pitching depth regardless of what you think of those particular players.

That's not what I said. I said they would have to return to 2018 form for the Braves not to be better off with Joc, plus Stripling, plus long term commitment freed from Inciarte, plus whatever trade return you get by dealing Inciarte. This was never trade Camargo and Inciarte for Joc. It was trade Camargo and a couple of prospects not in the Braves top 4-5 prospects for Joc and Stripling which allows you to trade Inciarte for best available return.
Joc can't play CF right? So if we trade Ender we don't have a backup CF since I'm assuming in this scenario Acuna plays there full time. Would no doubt be an offensive improvement, but not sure how we'd give Ronnie a break. Can Duvall cut it in the middle?
