Stuff played up a couple ticks. This is what Sims is...a low leverage BP arm or a AAAA starter.

    S. Freeman in the 7th. I would have never guess.. I tell you what, that Snit keeps you guessing.

Hmm, I wonder if there is anyone on the bench who can play LF better than Kemp? probably not. I guess he can get one more at bat.. much more important than protecting the lead you already have..

Chuck Hernandez must be blind. This was my first extended viewing of Newcomb and I swear he never repeated the arm slot on his fastball all night. That, and if he's all over the place all the time, he's never going to get a close call.

A few years down the road everyone will look back and say those braves were ahead of their time teaching walks as a pitching strategy. Chuckie starting the next trend

What is most baffling is that Kemp was the last out and he subbed for him, but he could have also doubled switched with another pitcher so he doesn't come up in a run scoring situation. You have 16 man bullpen.

And I am not saying that because Jo-ram gave up an unearned run..

    Some fun facts:

The Braves have the 4th highest walk rate in MLB.

Folty has a higher walk rate than last year.

Teheran has a higher walk rate than last year.

Garcia has the highest walk rate of his career this year.

Colon had a higher walk rate than last year, and lowered it again when he joined the Twins.

We all know the young pitchers al have terrible command.

    So yeah...what's up?

I thought you were kidding, but you're right. And he never pitched above High A except for 5 games in AA in his last year as a pro.

That was a great AB by Swanson. My favorite 2 minutes of this game.

He fouled off a bunch of pitches and (stop the presses) hit a slider. Not a very good slider, I know, but perhaps a sliver of hope in that regard?
