This whole organization is a train wreck. Unreal
This whole organization is a train wreck. Unreal
Don’t forget the Braves just recently announced they’re building the spring training facility literally in JS’s backyard.

I expect Albies to be traded away for a #3 starter now.
lol.. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Braves organization recently has been engulfed in infighting and chaos involving Coppolella. MLB received multiple complaints against Coppolella, according to Yahoo! Sports, but has found little evidence to support a number of the accusations.

You can bet your ass the Braves will be making some extremely short-sighted moves to win in 2018.
This is about the last trick upper management can pull before they lose their jobs too.
I;m guessing the Braves need to draw 3 million or more next year, or bye bye JS.
what an opportunity this could be for the Braves to start fresh and get intelligent people in here; but alas we are going to be stuck with Hart and JS.
THIS IS WHERE having an actual owner that cares makes a huge difference. A guy like Cuban wouldn't let crap like this happen and if it did I suspect he would clean house and get competent intelligent people in the building and send the old guard out to the graveyard.
Having a corporate or cheap owner is the single most debilitating thing that can happen to a professional franchise.
What a disaster.

Who is going to fire JS or Hart. As long as Liberty hits their numbers, nothing at the top will change. The only thing JS has to doto keep his job is keep the budget where Liberty doesn't lose money. As long as JS is there Hart is there.
Coppy
Two things:
The Braves of the early 2000's and the Blue Jays of recent years were both extremely well ran and under corporate ownership.
We have a billion of poor examples of teams ran by more traditional ownership groups that also have issues. The only clear delineator from good owner and bad owner seems to be 'winning' and, well, that's some selection bias at work.
What we are seeing is the importance of not having retirees man positions that require immense oversight. I very much appreciate Suspenders and I still believe he was a HOF worthy GM, but he's had two regimes under him that have been plagued by infighting and poor results. He's ultimately responsible for the hiring and oversight of Wren and Coppy and it's extremely apparent that neither of those two things are being handled that well.

It's amazing that we have a number one farm system, a couple of young all-stars and a bunch of studs ready to roll and we still seem to be finding a way to potentially **** it up.

I'm willing to purchase the team if we can crowdsource some donations from this site. I promise I will end this madness. Force JS into Vice Chairman Emeritus retirement role and Hart out.

Right, but wasn't the point of hiring Fisher to build and expand the analytics department? This to me implies that the team is going to hire more data analysts/scientists, which the team wouldn't announce in press release of course.
From the AJC:
This could all just be lip service and at this point I wouldn't disagree with you if you thought it was just that. This FO has burned all trust with me as a fan.In addition to administrative duties and input in baseball decisions, the Braves plan for Fisher to help expand their analytics department

I'm much more interested in what actually happened
Jeff Wren has got to be feeling so damn vindicated.
