Dayton is already off the 40-man now that he is on the 60-day DL. He struck out the side in his rehab yesterday but since he was added to the 60-day DL after August 1st he is no longer eligible to return this season. So Dayton may pitch for the G-Braves in the AAA playoffs but he won't be pitching in the Majors again this year.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

He can come back September 10.

I posted about adding him back, then I read this:
"The player may not rejoin the active roster until the minimum 10 or 60 days has elapsed; however, a player's time on the injured list may exceed the specified number of days, and, further, if a player is transferred to the 60-day injured list after August 1, he may not return to the active roster that season."

They key thing to remember here is that you can change your roster after the WC game.

Needed somewhere to type it out so I can actually see what it would look like...
CF- Acuna, 2B- Ozzie, 1B- Freeman, 3B- Donaldson, RF- Markakis, LF- Riley, C- Mac, SS- Dansby
Bench - Flowers or Cervelli (will be interesting to see who AA picks), Joyce, Culberson, Hechavarria, Hamilton
Rotation - Keuchel, Soroka, Fried, Folty
Pen - Melancon, Greene, Newcomb, Martin, Jackson, O'Day, Blevins, Teheran
Ortega DFA makes room for Markakis, Swarzak DFA makes room for Riley, Tomlin DFA turns Julio into the long guy in the pen. The biggest question is, would AA rather have a third lefty (Dayton?) and hope that Snitker would use Newcomb or Jackson for multiple innings if/when needed rather than carry Julio? The next biggest will probably have to be answered by the scouts - have they seen enough from Riley in the last week to put him on the playoff roster, even if he's not starting?
Kinda have to think the decision on Ender getting back to full health in time to really be much of a helpful piece was made when they wrote the check to pay for buying out Hamilton's 2020 option.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Bumping cause we really only need 1 thread for this
There’s already a thread for this
Bumping because clv still has bolded in his signature that we should have signed Kimbrel instead of Keuchel
Kimbrel has had 1 bad outing since his first week with the Cubs. Who is to say that he wouldn't have been the better option but of course not at the years that he got?
