Freeman and Markakis started chasing balls, that helped the Arizona pitcher get out of it.
It was also a slider from a 3/4 delivery lefty. Hard to layoff that pitch.
That to me is his one weakness as an offensive player. He expands the zone too far with two strikes.

What gets me is he will do it occasionally but mostly with slow runners instead of fast runners.
Jace did twice.
Trying to catch them by surprise. No one expects a hit and run with a slow runner.
It very rarely works out that way.
