This is a roster manipulation move to take advantage of the 10-day DL. I think he misses 1 turn in the rotation with the off days.

    That’s what I’m hoping.

Not good. Hopefully it's the roster manipulation game.

His start was 5 days ago. If this was anything other than roster ping pong then we would have heard something by now.

I like this move and think it's just precautionary and a way to get Teheran back in. He and Teheran switch spots and both miss basically miss one start.

There's also probably a bit of innings management to this move.

What worries me is we could've done this right away and called someone up. Seems if this were manipulation on our part to rest him, we'd have done it right away. My guess is the tightness lingered linger than we thought it would... hopefully it's no big deal

Could be possible they wanted to make sure Julio was 100% sure to be ready before DLing him.

Folty scheduled to come off the DL this Sunday but not a lock just yet.

Bowman- It looks like Newcomb (Friday), Teheran (Saturday) and Foltynewicz (Sunday) will serve as the starters against the O's this weekend. But until the Braves are sure Folty will be ready to come off the DL, they will not use McCarthy out of the bullpen.
