I think the sandbox stadium is in Gray's head. He's not a lost cause though I'd rather have Stroman.

I want no part of Stroman for his likely cost, which is probably 2 top 10 prospects and secondary prospects.

Why are the Yankees trading Gray?

    The A’s aren’t trading Chapman.

The only theory that makes sense would be as part of a three way deal to get Archer.

So the Braves should trade for him, genius? Learn that at community college? Or from daddy?

Also keep in mind Scranton is playing Gwinnett and #Braves are also in on Archer among other things. #Rays

Imo, the likeliest scenario is that the Yanks are pushing up against the luxury tax. They were at 188 million a week ago I believe. If that's correct, they likely can't afford Archer without going over the luxury tax or without Tampa eating his contract this year (which they don't like doing). May be the Rays are demanding Sheffield in return if they have to eat payroll in a Archer deal. Also, may be the Rays have a particular player they love from scouting us (Allard may be?), but we aren't interested in the total cost of acquiring Archer. So a 3 way could look like this:

    Braves get Gray

    Yankees get Archer

Rays get Allard, Frazier, and a couple of 2nd tier prospects.

So the Braves give up Allard for a pitcher that sucks according to Taylor?

That guy’s dad played D1 ball, so he knows athletes. If he says Gray sucks, then he sucks. I don’t want the Braves to trade Allard for a pitcher that sucks.

Great idea! The Braves really should bend over, drop thier pants and help the yanks and rays make this happen

Sonny Gray is actually a good pitcher, he just doesn't pitch well in Yankee stadium. I guess Chris Archer sucks too with his 4.31 ERA....

I’m only relaying what I heard from the resident expert on athletes.

Oh, I was responding to JxnMiss. Your response seemed like it was tongue in cheek.

This is exactly what i am thinking how stupid is to help other team when we are the ones supposed to go all in. Specially giving Allard.

I don’t see how losing Harper closes their window.

I would like to get Frazier back and have him as a possibility to start in the OF next year. But I don’t know how that would happen.
