That's an exceptional group for a AAA team. And just about every one of them is a contender for post-season roster. Audition time she comes.

    Agreed.

Got my eye on Weigel, Webb, Walker, Sobotka of that crowd. Ynoa might be better suited for the pen, but they started him on Saturday.

I have no faith in Minter at this point.

There are two cuts. First who gets called up (which itself might happen in waves). And second who makes the post-season roster.

With respect to the first wave on Sep 1, my guess is the starting pitcher in AAA who is doing the best will be moved into the major league rotation (I wouldn't rule out Anderson if he grabs the bull by the horns). Also in that first wave I would expect 2 or 3 guys for the pen, including a lefty, and a catcher (either Jackson or Murphy). Murphy is not currently on the 40-man but could be added. Having a 3rd catcher makes it easier to use McCann as a pinch hitter. I believe we carried a third catcher in the post-season last year.

If Waters and Pache are headed to Gwinnett, I wonder what the roster shuffling will look like. Lien likely heads back to Mississippi, but it's been a puzzler to me why Justin Dean has labored in Rome all season. I thought he'd at least be in Florida by now and, like Harris, maybe earn a shot in Mississippi as the season winds down. Dean's K-rate is a little high for a guy without a big power profile, but he's got some wheels.

Maybe Neslony is ready to come off the IL.

The Dean thing is really strange. I've always wondered if the Braves hate having guys in the Florida State League for some reason. They rush to promote guys out as soon as possible and seem to hold guys back in Rome longer than they would at other places. I don't know if it's the weather or what, but it is strange.

Tarnok has spent the year in the FSL, except for a rehab stint. He's probably the best prospect who has.

I'm curious to see what happens if Folty/Gausman can't get it together. Wonder if it would be Touki next up and if not whether it might be Anderson.
