I don't think it's a big deal to keep that name or change it.
He's a business man and looking to protect his business best way he sees fit and most likely thinks he can get some good press that will make him more money by the name change. Just the market being the market
Things that are more serious to me than this? If I should have gone for Mexican or sushi for lunch for staters.

Spend some time reading the past couple of pages of the Confederate Monuments thread, and you'll see that I've tried to make it clear that my argument is about ideas--one in particular, and its historical resonance into today--and not at all about historical figures. And I'm quite content to line that up with advocacy of fascism any day.
Really, "retrograde persecution of historical figures?"
FWIW, I, like many of us, have roots in the ol' family tree that extend to the CSA. If I had to guess, I'd say that you probably do, too. Mine include a prominent Virginian family whose scion has been very much at issue here. It's not something that I asked for or earned, so I don't think about it much. But if I'm not triggered by the "persecution of historical figures" (by pointing out that the propagation of myths about them has perpetuated white supremacy in the years 1865-) that I'm actually related to, I'm not sure why people are so touchy about it. They're dead, and can neither care nor defend themselves. They left us with a clear legacy that one can either own up to or sing pretty, but morally vacuous, songs about.
Where are we putting the Bannon statue so we don't forget our history?
