He looked the best he has all year. He left a few over the plate but was really solid, overall. As a fan, it was really exciting.

Greg Holland was DFA'd... don't know where we'd cram him on the 40 or 25 man... but I'd at least entertain the idea of a claim

Phillies lose again last night. Now only 1/2 game ahead of the Mets. They've now got 4 @ San Fran who is struggling but still battling for their playoff lives.

Obviously, big series this weekend with Nats @ Mets. Matchups are Strasburg vs Stroman, Corbin vs Syndegaard, and Sanchez vs DeGrom.

Honestly, I'm more worried about the Mets than the Nats at this point since the Nats have an ailing Scherzer. The Mets may have the best rotation in the NL now and their offense suddenly is quite good. I'm not necessarily "worried" about either team, but I do think the Mets will be better than the Nats down the stretch.

if i had to bet it will be those two in the WC game. Scherzer vs. Syndergaard would be sick.

Mookie on the block this winter? Per MLB.com

Only way i even go that steep is if it comes with an extension (I know it wont), but thats way too steep for a most likely rental.

Per Morosi, the expectation of other execs is that the price tag would be steep. How steep? Morosi mentions the Braves as a potential suitor, given their strong farm system and the proximity of Atlanta to Betts' hometown of Nashville, Tenn. But Morosi speculates that it would take a package like outfielder Cristian Pache (Atlanta's No. 1 prospect, MLB's No. 11 overall) and right-hander Ian Anderson (Atlanta's No. 3 prospect, MLB's No. 34 overall) to even get the Red Sox to consider a trade.

Yeah let’s pay out the butt in prospects and then for his contract to get a guy, when we have two amazing guys that will basically be ready next year and for the next six years on the cheap.

Mookie will need to go to a team with deep pockets but if he’s so great...why does Boston want to trade him anyway?

I wouldn’t trade all of that for a rental but could you imagine having Acuna and Betts hitting back to back, wow

Teams dont trade a ton for rentals anymore. And literally everyone that's been paying attention knows that.

Pache definitely has the defense down pat. His bat has come around but getting to Mookies level probably won’t happen.

This is pure stupidity to even suggest.

    Ignore Moronsi, as usual.

Doubtful, but years of pache at 3-4 fWAR is probably better than 1 of mookie at 6-8 fWAR

Is Jose Ramirez back? 1.000+ OPS and 11 homers in the second half.

What happened to him between the 2nd half of last year and the first half of this year is one of the greatest mysteries in baseball history.
