I just wanted someone else to break it before Jeter.

Jeter is a HOF and he should be celebrated. But in the last 3 years alone there have been guys more deserving of getting that 100%. And from the looks of it, the logjam will be cleared out for Jeter to get 100%

The real tragedy is Jim Edmonds. How did he not get 5% of the votes?

It's setting up Jeter for 100%

Not sure that bodes well for Andruw's eventual chances either.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I don't. I'm confident with the old voter pool erased and the more modern crowd thay Andruw may not be first ballot but he'll get in. I think Edmonds is a casualty of overcrowded ballot which should clear some by the time we get to Andruw. Trammell will be off. Raines will be off. McGriff? Edgar too I believe?

I think if Andruw gets past the first year he makes it on the 3rd ballot.

I hope people don't Forget Andruw was the real mvp in 2005. We don't even win the wild card without him that year

Andruw would have made Edmonds' highlight reel look routine. But if Edmonds wasn't able to get 5 percent, I'm not sure how Andruw will ever get 75 percent.

Yeah, I don't think Manny gets it. And I think there are some steroid suspicions following Pudge.

I hope Vlad Guerrero gets some serious consideration.

A Jones will not make it. He started out as a sure fire HOF... But when he left the Braves he fell off the table and I think he will fall short. He will probably get around 30% as his highest total.

Andruw also went pretty underappreciated outside of Atlanta. If he had been a Yankee in his prime, think about how much bigger of a star he would have been.

Andruw has like a million gold gloves at a premium defensive position. If Brooks Robinson and Ozzie Smith are in then Andruw is in.

This isn't speculation with Manny. He failed twice. Arguably worse than Rose. I'd be surprised if he gets any votes tbh.

Andruw had a great 9 year prime. On top of that he's the best defensive centerfielder ever. He will get a lot of love from the purists and saber guys.

Ozzie and Brooks had long careers playing premium defense as a starter. Jones had like a 10 year run as a starter. He hung around for about 7 more years after that.. I just don't think he has enough to get in.

I personally don't think a 10 year run as a premium position player is enough. I love A. Jones.. I just think the way he fell off will hurt him. If he would have just retired after 2007 then a case could be made..

97-2006 Andruw was phenomenal and very valuable for us.

I wish Glavine Maddux and Smoltz stumped more for Druw in their speeches. I hope Chipper does as I don't think Andruw will get in on first ballot.

Would be amazing if the Jones Boys went in together though.

I think Andruw being a Brave and him being clean during that era will help him a lot.

Bar none even when Andruw lost a few steps he was a better defense centerfielder than Hunter and Edmonds.

He's been touted as the best defensive centerfielder since Mays and by many the best defensive centerfielder of all time.

434 homers isn't too shabby too.

it would be incredible for him to get in.. But then you can say we had 5 HOF and a HOF coach on the same team for many years and only have 1 WS to show for it. That is just not right..
