Anyone heard anything new in the last week on some of our injured pitchers? Last update I heard on AJ Minter had late May as a possibility for his return, and haven't seen anything on Wentz since he took the liner off his leg or Gohara since Coppy indicated they were skipping him a start.

That's the worst day of minor league starters in like 2 years.

You've just reverse-jinxed them into tossing 4 gems.

Then I just jinxed the reverse-jinx. Dammit, sorry.

    Interesting from MILB on Cumberland:

The Braves' No. 29 prospect may not pay much attention to those splits, but the numbers speak volumes. Cumberland ranks second among all Minor Leaguers with 60.3 percent of the balls he puts in play going into the air. Oklahoma City slugger O'Koyea Dickson (62.9) is the only other Minor Leaguer above 60 percent. Among Class A hitters, his ratio of 0.47 ground balls per fly balls is second lowest, trailing only Dayton's John Sansone at 0.46.

Take a look at the rest of the article. Cumberland spent time in college with the guy who taught JD Martinez his new approach:

Don't see how Pike fits into that statement.

    3-2, 1.93 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 51.1 IP, 6.3 hits allowed/9, 9.5 Ks/9, 3.3 BB/9, .200 Average Against, hasn't given up a homer yet.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

His quotes in the article say he's not, but the stats seem to say otherwise.

Acuna doubled off the top of the RF wall. Demeritte followed with a two-run single.

His K's are still a bit too high, but other than that Cumberland is having a hell of a month of May.
