The risk inherent in a prep arm combined with the control issues really ding him. Also, his stuff is apparently a touch behind some others. It's very good, but not really elite. So he doesn't have that counterbalancing it.

Honestly, he reminds me a little bit of Lucas Sims. I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar career path.

Anderson is much more of a ground ball pitcher. That's my biggest problem with Sims. Way too many fly balls of him.

JP Crawford and Jason Groomes fall is interesting.

    Gore ranked is laughable.

Gore was just drafted 3rd overall. A consensus top 5 pick by everyone in this past draft. Some baseball guys don't share you're disdain for the guy.

I do not disdain the guy. He is a great down to earth kid.

Some lists/sites are a little more patient than others. BA is more what have you done for me lately. Jorge Mateo has fallen completely off the map too

Both are fastball-curve ball pitchers with chageups that lag behind. Similar velocity. And both struggle with BBs. Sims is more of a flyball pitcher which is a problem with the BBs. But I could easily see Anderson's career going like Sims' had.

This is random but the Phillies rebuild has gone REALLLY bad.

They've been rebuilding for what, like 5 years now? And they've shown no progress in their rebuild.

While the Braves are in year 3 and look to be back in contention by 2019, possibly in 2018 depending what happens this winter.

I wouldnt go for broke if i was them, they'll have everyone back next year for the most part.

If they trade for a RP, i'd at least want someone with 3-4+ years control. They traded away Rivero who is a stud for the Pirates for Melancon. But i'd probably target 2-3 lower BP pieces instead of gut the farm for 1 guy. One guy isnt gonna make/break that pen.
