Not saying I would want to do this at all, but he would surely carry more value than Riley and Riley would be a viable replacement that should perform at a similar level.

I really think we need to move away from the idea of trading any of our starting position players. We simply don't have the resources or depth to effectively replace them with certainty. Ender, Camargo, Dansby, whoever... I don't think any of them are going anywhere.

Ohhhhhhhh snap this is huge. We need to be all over Dietrich. He fits our bench like a freaking glove.

Edit: I should say, I don't think he is the greatest fit out there from a baseball standpoint. But from a cost of acquisition to value point of view, he's a fantastic fit.

I can understand wanting to dump payroll, but why would anyone want Myers and that Gawd awful contract??

Segura has averaged 4 WAR over the last 3 years and is on a very reasonable deal. He has got to have pretty nice value. Leake has negative value, but at least he can be bought out by 2021. Myers is nothing but negative value with a contract that doesn't expire til 2023. I the M's are only saving like 7ish million a year (my math could be wrong). What a terrible, terrible trade for Seattle.

Needs to be signing a condo lease Cobb County by no later than Sunday. Perfect bench piece.

Don’t know the details yet to say either way, but there seems to be a surplus of glove first shortstops they could get cheap to replace Segura.
There was also a reported rift with he and management.

The Marlins are the Marlins. The Mutts are the Mutts. The Orioles are the Orioles.

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

a good bench option...there are others such as Walker...my guess is AA waits until prices drop to sign one of them

He's below average at 2nd and 3rd, pretty good at 1st, and awful in LF.

Just in general. If he would bring more value in a trade than Riley. I think he “probably” would? I think Riley would put up decent numbers and it would be a wash.
