    Greatest TV show ever?

I don't know if all the hype over Game of Thrones made me think of this, but think about it I have all day.

I have long told anyone who'll listen that I am a fan of great writing on TV (or anywhere) I find it, but it is so damn rare on television that it jumps out at you when you encounter it.
I plan on binge watching GOT sometime later this year, but if you put a gun to my head, both it and my heart will say the greatest TV show I ever watched beginning to end was West Wing. Current politics aside, this was Aaron Sorkin's master work, so good that it even surivived his dismissal from the show to end well.

This five-minute scene from episode 10 of season one never fails to move me. I defy you to feel otherwise.

    Seinfeld - End of discussion.

Was hysterical when I was a teenager. Got even funnier now in my 30s.

Seinfeld is the ultimate love it or hate it show. I hated it. Didn’t think it was funny at all. I don’t know anyone who thinks it’s an ‘okay’ show. People either love it or hate it. The movie Napoleon dynamite is the same.

West Wing, Sopranos, The Wire, and the Game of Thrones are all terrific and debatable as the best.

Deadwood was a good show but it didn’t air long enough to be considered one of the best. Billions has some terrific writing and is an underrated show.

Check out Peaky Blinders on Netflix if you liked the Sopranos. Tremendous all round show. Tom Hardy has an incredible acting performance as a Jewish Gangster.

ITT, Seinfeld was compared to Napoleon Dynamite.

I don't like playing favorites, because I don't have one. My mood varies.

Breaking Bad is probably the best slow burn show out there. It was so great.

Arrested Development season 2 is the funniest season of any show ever in my opinion. Season 1 and 3 were great. Season 4 and 5 were good but not up to the snuff of the earlier seasons.

Futurama doesn't miss. There isn't a bad episode in the show. Some episodes are better and more memorable but it was a fantastic show.

King of the Hill is one of my favorite binge shows. It's got some continuity but also a healthy stand alone value. Doesn't rely on callbacks but does use them well when they do.

Simpsons is truly amazing but had some hellish lows.

THe Office is brilliant, especially before Jim and pam got into a relationship but really it still was great until Steve Carell left.

Parks and Rec took a long time to start getting really funny. Took time for it to become more than just the City Government version of the Office, but by the 3rd/4th season with the addition of Rob Lowe and the full blossom of Chris Pratt, the show was full on brilliant.

Seinfeld was mentioned. Best live TV sitcom.

Sherlock is ****ing brilliant. While it's more like a movie anthology than a TV show it's an amazing show.

Luther is probably my favorite BBC serial.

For more out there picks that I don't think anyone will pick.

Battlestar Gallactica is truly brilliant. IMO it's the Star Trek of my generation and it's fantastic.

Star Wars Clone Wars, watched so many times. It is truly brilliant. Wish I started it earlier than I did so I could watch it more.

Chappelle Show has some of the ****ing funniest bits out there. But it didn't have a ton of air time.

Batman the Animated Series and Animaniacs, shows from my childhood thatstill stand up to today. Mark Hamill is the best joker

+1 for best sketch: Chappelle’s Show.

The best white comedy in history is Friends and it's no contest.

The best black comedy is The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but Martin is close, it may be a tie.
