Is it possible for Dansby to properly execute a throw other than to first base?

Fried's fastball is 93-97 tonight. Curve and change look good too. Command isn't super tight.

Hope Camargo is okay. Looked like he got spiked pretty badly on the errant throw by Dansby.

His throws to 1st are not that pure on a routine play.

Not to mention the fact the Culberson is having difficulty catching the ball. SLOPPY!!!

Hoping to see some offense out of Camargo with all these consecutive PAs vs LHP.

I'm guessing it's off by one point something.

Wait, are we criticizing Swanson’s defense now? The same Swanson who ranks as a Top 5-6 SS defensively by UZR?

Acuna is still pouting in LF. He must not love baseball.

Sorry..."pouring?" Not familiar unless it's a spell check induced thing.

Fried has thrown about 50% strikes so far.

I'm not sure he ever does given his age as well, like Newcomb, but if Fried could find control, reasonable control, like 3.8-4 BB/9, he should consider Lance McCullers'ing it and throwing his curve a lot. I don't know if this organization would even like it, though.

Probably could find a career as a 3-4 if he decided to.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

All of a sudden Fried is locating that curve.

I don't know why people continue to underrate Fried. I think his main issue is if he's not throwing that curve for strikes he's going to struggle. If he gets consistent with it he's a #1 or #2.

Fried's throwing pretty well. I honestly suspect he's the best start this weekend.

Because his fastball is horribly flat and gets hammered, as I’ve explained a thousand times
