Not at all. Bumgarner is a no-go for me unless the price is minimal. Which it surely won't be.

I thought you were saying we wouldn't say no first, implying that we might say yes to that deal lol

Okay, here is a novel idea that I haven't heard anyone mention yet: Buying low on Alex Wood from the Reds. He's coming off injury, he'll only be owed like 4 million dollars for the rest of the year, and he was really good before his injury. Its really hard to gauge what his cost might be, but if we could get him relatively cheaply he would satisfy a lot of the criteria that people seem to want out of this trade deadline.

I mentioned a similar plan when news broke of Wheeler's injury, but I really like the idea of buying low on a player with an expiring contract who is coming off an injury for a non-competing team. It just seems like such a good way to address our issues cheaply. It obviously has some risk associated with it, but I think I'd be willing to take on that risk given then potential upside.

I think I listed Wood in one of mine.

Reds also have expiring relievers. Jared Hughes worked for me as a cheap middle reliever.

    Puig also potential fit.

Reds have lots of helpful pieces.

I thought the reds weren’t planning to sell

We need this to happen just so we can bring back the Wood thread titles. Would be bigger than Stroman

Morosi’s latest article says the reds are willing to listen on Luis Castillo and lists the Braves first with a proposed package lead by Pache and Anderson. Morosi is also notoriously full of ****.

I wouldn't give up either one for Castillo I'm more bearish than most on Anderson.

There is really nothing realistic out there I’d trade Pache for.

Isn't bearish the bad one? I'm terrible with words that use animal names in them.

Yeah he’s saying he wouldn’t even just trade Anderson for him and he isn’t near as high on him as most here...

Yes. Castillo is a middle of the rotation starter who has gotten lucky this year.

The two rehab starts Gausman has made speaks to him being back on his game. You plug him in for Wilson and you have a rotation you can take to the bank. You only need three for the postseason.

Now go get a bullpen stud.

Hell no on the package, but I'd be all over Castillo.

He’s on the border of #1/2. His outlier is the first half of 2018 where he struggled.

I'd probably trade Anderson OR Kyle Wright but not either of those plus Pache. That's silly.
