Acuna = Mike Trout lite, Albies = Roberta Alomar lite

The young man is on a streak. It is like Andruw or Chipper he want to say in how he approach the game.

I just want to ask you, do you watch the game to see him play.

I am going to be honest, I do. I have ways of watching every game and I can't share that. But when I see is 3rd or 4th hitter, I will switch over because somehow we get someone on for him to hit. And sometimes you have seen double or in Flowers case triple plays would ruin it.

Acuna is our Andruw/Chipper hybrid, but only 21 years old, Andruw was younger doing it. And now we have him for many years.

Now Albies as you can see learning that the league tried and successfully figured him out until now. He is adjusting. His home runs are split but he hits them much farther right handed which is normal, he grew up hitting right, but as his stats dictate, he can hit them out both handed easily.

Seitzer is like, was it Baylor our hitting coach when we were a potent lineup, a god. I saw him talk to Acuna after his weak ass second homer. Like an outfield fly because mostly they are tape measured jobs.

We are blessed, because they will be with us 8 years now to probably like Chipper, lifetime.

Acuna is by far a better hitter than Druw.

Its so early but Acuna has a non-zero chance to go down as one of the top 10 players of all time.

Kind of like having Harper and Rendon on the same team.

Let’s just think for a second if Pache or Waters become an All Star.

What if we were just lucky and BOTH of them hit their ceilings??

On a team that was drafted and built around pitching none the less.

    Literally zero weak spots.

Yeah 4.1 innings and he was in trouble. I hope he does well, but I’d see Wentz being that guy more than Allard. You never know tho...

FIP was 2.06. It was a nice start. I was just playing about bringing him back, but it was an impressive 2019 debut for him. I've followed the kid since we drafted him, and I like him, so I will continue to pull for him

I do think that Acuna is probably already a better hitter than Druw but so much of Druw’s value was in his defense. As far as top 10 all time that’s premature. I’ll go with non zero chance but that is such a high bar he’ll have to get a lot better.

By a lot better ... you mean A LOT...

But I do love having a player with a Non- Zero chance...unlike...say ... the TV guy who once graced the cover of Sports Illustrated...

Yes it would have to be a huge improvement but he’s clearly very young and talented so it’s not impossible. Frankly I’d wager against anyone his age for being that good. I look forward to seeing him try though. Top 50 would be a heck of a cornerstone.

I was looking back and Andruw really was an incredible hitter for a while. I was so spoiled back then and unfortunately his prime was too short but 99 2000 and 2005 were really great years.

Sorry admittedly not the clearest post. That’s what I get for posting on my phone in the car during a somewhat boring conversation. Basically I was responding to someone who said Acuna could be a top 10 all time hitter and was already better than Andruw.

I said he was already as good as Andruw but I later commented that I forgot how good Andruw was because of how early he flamed out.

As far as top 10 all time hitter comment for Acuna I said I wouldn’t project that on anyone early in their career but he’d still have to improve a lot but it’s not impossible.

I apologize for the rambling assuming my post is the one you don’t get. The topic on this one has wandered a bit. It’s been a bit of a rough day to be honest.

If Acuna and Albies don’t get more than one hit a piece tonight I’m deleting this thread.
