We had the best defender in baseball with 5 years of control left not too recently.

We turned 1 year of Heyward into 1 year of Miller and then turned that back into 5 years of Heyward 2.0, only cheaper and younger. Well played Johns.

7:26pm: Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports that in addition to Inciarte, the Braves have acquired right-hander Aaron Blair and shortstop prospect Dansby Swanson (Twitter link). That’s an impressive haul for Miller, as Swanson was selected with the first overall pick in the draft just six months ago.
