Lets not forgot how embarrassing the leader of our country does his steaks. Well Done + Ketchup.

They aren't terrible actors. THey're much better than the majority of actors.

As far as age, that's because there is no peak physical condition for an actor. That's a fair counter, but that's about it.

Although I did come up with an exception to my rule. At an all inclusive resort type situation you should clearly order the steak.
Why would you spend that on steak? Because odds are that steak is amazing and something you won't often experience.

My mother in law, too. She says she's worried about it being undercooked but she'll eat sushi, raw fish and all manner of stinky fish with no problem.

Here's another hot take. Why does it matter if the leader of our country is embarrassing? I think it's a meaningless sentiment.

Also, I think that the well done with ketchup thing was endearing to a lot of the working class. It was actually a smart play for the person who is the first troll to win the presidency.

Tourism in US took a 4b loss in 2017.

Are we supposed to assume that was in large measure due to Trump being perceived as an embarrassment?

I would also take a guess that a wee bit of the drop in tourism had something to do with the 2 major hurricanes making landfall in high tourist areas, including Disney World.

My guess is that Trump acting a fool benefits some sectors (news business) and hurts other sectors (NFL). But any variance that exists is easily dwarfed to the point of nothingness by the massive economic growth we're likely to see from the tax bill just passed. In other words what truly matters is what he actually does rather than how he acts.

So when I hear people grump that Trump is an embarrassment, my thought is so what?

I don't think it was at all. Maybe it was appealing to old people. Maybe that was his feared demographic of losing.

Yea, weso’s supposition here rests on the very classist assumption that working-class folks have bad taste.

That's not what I meant. The idea I had is that a lot of folks who are working class don't like hoity-toity folks. I've never heard of a snobby guy who eats well done steak with ketchup in public.

By the way, maybe this should be moved over to the politics board if we're going to talk about Trump.

For real. Why not just get a burger at that point? You'd enjoy it a lot more than a well done steak with ketchup.

Hoity toity folks like SAVAGES who eat Pizza with a fork and knife

Hot takes, people who can't fold a perfect slice of NY pie shouldn't get to eat said delicacy. They have to eat Pizza Hut.

I disagree with this hot take. It's difficult to perfectly fold a slice of NY pie. Why would you delegate everyone who can't fold a slice of pizza to having to eat at Pizza Hut? Seems a bit harsh.

Unless you have a handicap, you are capable, you just choose not to. Even if you can't fold it for some dumb reason, if you need a knife and fork, society failed you. Pizza is street food, it would be like taking a fork and knife to tacos, or corn on a cob.

Nobody cares about the halftime show at the SB. One fancy pants prancing around is as good as another.

False, Prince's was amazing, Springsteen's was amazing, and Gaga's was pretty epic. Katy Perry's was good as well. That being said, this formula of bring on a pop star has been hit or miss. Beyonce was pretty awesome, Madonna SUCKED, The Black Eyed Peas were Brutal, Bruno Mars would have been amazing without the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katy Perry was good. JT sucked. His fans liked it but he did nothing to appeal to his non-fans. And the NFL is gonna play it super safe after boob-reveal 2005, but how epic would it have been to have Janet Jackson on stage and him rip her boob plate off and instead of a boob it was the FCC logo. Pretty awesome. But controversy cannot be apart of the superbowl, that's why Kendrick Lamar couldn't get the gig, his Grammy performance was the best on TV music performance of the year for sure. I wish Radiohead would do it, given the musicanship I bet we could get something pretty awesome, but it certainly wouldn't fit mainstream music.
