    3. You think anyone in the first order would disobey Kylo Ren? When Hux attempted to Ren simply threw him away and the lower in command immediately complied. As far as why, remember that the order from Ren was no quarter. So they assumed they would be destroyed eventually anyway. You're assuming that Finn and Rose mean that much to the first order, which Kylo Ren is the leader. He cared about Luke and Luke only. He wanted to end the resistance, breaking off any point of this to focus on 2 people would have been counterproductive to his goal

It's hardly a perfect film. But it's Star Wars, they're not supposed to be perfect. I can point to a billion continuity/logic flaws in previous films.

Benioff and Weiss are writing and directing a separate Star Wars trilogy after Thrones wraps up next year. Really crazy

Some of their comments suggest it could be Knights Of The Old Republic. To me that would be the perfect non-saga trilogy to make and I hope it gets done at some point.

But we know how prequels end. Where’s the excitement in guessing how it’s going to turn out?

We knew how Rogue One ended too and I still found that enjoyable. KOTOR is set 1000's of years before the prequels when the Sith and Jedi were at literal war with each other. I think showing that and ending it with the Rule of 2 starting would be entertaining on the big screen.

Or just anything Old Republic. Do it right though, keep ships unimpressive, have it all be about the great battles in the force.

That's a big logic flaw. We know how Dunkirk ends, but it doesn't mean it's not a story worth telling on the screen. The excitement is less in guessing how it's going to turn out but instead seeing what awesome new stuff they're going to add to canon.

FWIW my best guess is one of 2 things. Either this and Rian Johnson's new trilogy will occupy the next cycle pre-new Saga films. Or they'll be accompanied by the random anthology films to give the skywalker Saga a bit of a break. I'm leaning towards the former.

I've heard talks of them waiting like 10 years between Ep 9 and 10. Pumping out two non related trilogies with a couple of anthology movies would be a good way to give them time for Ep 10.

Here's hoping. They have been picking up bits and pieces of the now Legends material and making it part of the new canon along the way so going back to this and making it canon makes sense to me.

I think the Kenobi film will be the last of this R1-Solo-Kenobi pre-OT post-PT trilogy. But then again knowing Disney they'll find more ways to milk it.

You are probably right. I don't think there is much more to explore from this point in time. At least anything that's connected to what we already know.

WEll I think you're right but I think they'll slide into exploring the post ROTJ Pre TFA era next and go from there.

We know how life ends, too, but, we still live it. I feel like this is a very narrow conception of what is “exciting” or entertaining or valuable in narrative.

It’s more like if I knew you’d retire at 64 and have this many kids who did this and etc rather than just saying we all die. To each his own. We are and we’re all guessing before the last two if Luke and Rey are related, who is snoke etc but in the prequels we didn’t ask those questions. We knew anakin would turn heel. We knew that senator Palpatine was a phoney.

I'm glad you didn't like it. It seems like your Star Wars opinions are almost as terrible as the Prequels.

You’re just a ****ing dumbass fanboy who loves gurgling whatever Disney shots out of their uncut cocks.

The movie is objectively bad. Good for you if you like it, but that doesn’t keep it from having a ton of legit problems. Maybe one day you’ll stop being a pansy ass bitch about it.

If it's objectively bad how did it carry 90% fresh on rotten tomatoes? Why does it carry an 85 Metacritic rating? Does CyYoung31 know so much more about film than the majority of film critics? Or is CyYoung31 just a hipster who wants to crap on things that people like.

At least I'm assuming you're a hipster because I don't think you're old enough to have the "Disney is raping my childhood" complex that people in their mid 40s are having. And I assume you aren't a 4chan /pol/ user who regularly uses terms like "SJW" so to me your complaint is effectively that because it's popular it must be bad.
