It's clearly a three-way deal where the Red Sox get Sale, the White Sox get Markakis, Wisler and Olivera, and the Braves get Moncada.

People tend to overeact with prospects on here. Consider that it's the Cubs and they can simply buy the FA they want or sign a big name international FA. You can't compare how a small market team plays the game to how the Cubs can play.

Walden transferred to 60 day DL, won't pitch this year after missing most of last year also.

The Yankees thrived off of this for years, even though they only won once after their initial spurt.

DBacks are supposedly making Miller available in trades. I would be 100% in favor of the Braves reacquiring him.

Would be a great buyback depending on the cost. Maybe we could send them Blair back along with a couple other lower end pieces.

I wouldn't be opposed at all to it either.

Wouldn't mind getting Miller and drury for Blair, a controllable bullpen piece and a prospect. Drury is blocked at third and could give us a power bat from the right side.

I really like the idea of Drury!

What would be funny is getting Miller and Drury back for Blair and low level prospects and then getting Heyward back for mid level prospects.

Yeah, no thanks on that one. Having Heyward long term for an expensive deal was always super iffy since his value is mostly defensive, and that will start fading quick once he hits his 30s.

Heyward is just massively overrated. I REALLY like Jason, but my gosh, people act like he's the second coming of the Lord.

Rosenthal: Sources: #BlueJays agree to acquire Melvin Upton Jr. from #Padres for Class A prospect. Financial terms not known. Likely finalized today.

BJ Upton has got to be my least favorite Brave of all time. The guy was clearly unhappy here and never seemed to really care about playing better. I'd sooner see Olivera in the Braves' dugout again than Upton.

He'd be right up there with Melky.

Regardless of BJ's performance this season, I imagine Preller rubbed one out as soon as the Jays agreed to that deal.

Yeah, Melky was in that same vein. That guy put forth a laughable effort on the field. I still remember him allowing an inside the park HR to, IIRC, the Reds when the threw the ball sideways in the outfield instead of in.

Someone brought up Andruw Jones. Its funny that Braves fans treat Heyward just like they did Druw.
