Hahaha! That was a few years ago at a Marlins game. That little boy got kind of, um, excited after the Marlins did something.

That gif also showed the actual attendance of each of the four games at Marlins Park this weekend.

At each level...Riley has gotten better.

Here is my homer bold prediction. Austin Riley will end up being a better MLB player than Nick Senzel. I think he will be a .270/30 HR guy (easily) that improves his strike at rate as he gets older. This guy will be a stud by the time he is say 25.

We should all be interested in Riley.

I think most non-Braves think he's 250/300-350/400-500 with slightly below avg defense. That is a good player.

Maybe he can be more. I've seen some folks say they think he can be avg and maybe better. I think some think he can hit a little better or slug more. Sticking at 3B and walking would be huge.

For those of us who still remember the velocity concerns, does anyone know if these pitchers he torched were 95+?

How many still see him as having below-average defense, though? All the recent reports I've seen have him at least average. He has a great arm and apparently good hands and glove work. I'm not sure he has great range, but it's apparently good enough for the other tools to play. Wasn't it Keith Law who had him at 55+ at this point?

I have not read once report recently that questions RIleys ability to stay at third.

I can't wait to see him and observe how he handles major league fastballs. Its been beaten to death so we will see how accurate the reports are or if its still just residuals from poor initial scouting that haven't caught up to the reality that is RIley now.

His K rate at AA/AAA is sitting right at 25%. If he was seeing a steady diet of fastballs he couldn't handle, you'd expect that number to be higher, wouldn't you?

    Just asking.

Scouting reports exist at the minor league level as well. The teams would know if that was an 'easy' way of getting Riley out. Hasn't worked since he was drafted.

Its wild how Riley has overshadowed what Allard has done.

Forget the rankings 2 months ago this guy has reemerged as a top pitching prospect. I always thought he was our best one until Gohara came along and the reports on his decreasing velocity are concerning. However, I still have the utmost faith that he will be a tremendous asset for the next 7 years to us. Love the way they have monitored his innings load which is why I find it hard to believe he will pitch in Atlanta before August.
