Let's not forget that you're all in on a book that says trump didn't want to win but at the same time colluded with the Russians.

This is neither here nor there, but I've never really thought that Trump wanted to be President, per se. He wanted to WIN, sure, but mostly as self-validation and ego puffing. I imagine that he liked the idea of being the most powerful man in the world, but didn't really have any interest in doing the job. I think his behavior on the job thus far has kind of borne that out.

I would agree with temperament because I've seen that although the things that most people freak out over seem to have had positive effects but overall its not pretty.

I don't think we have enough visibility to make the determination on his intelligence.

He spends a really remarkable amount of time using his platform to personally aggrandize or defend himself. His Twitter is largely about him--answering slights, attacking enemies. There's the really extraordinary amount of golf, and the fact that he's changed his work schedule back to include so much "executive time." He hasn't done much to sell the big legislative pieces that his party has worked in, because that would involve demonstrating some fluency with the particulars of policy, and he's shown zero ability (and, reportedly, zero inclination) to do that.

And, yo, sorry. Live-tweeting Fox News is not "informing himself about current events" or whatever.

This is just my take. Feel free to disagree. I see a guy who is way out of his depth and not inclined or able to improve.

Appreciate your take on this and tens of millions of people agree. However, from my perspective Trump needs to use that platform because he deal with an unprecedented level of opposition from the media that clouds facts (as Trump does the same) and doesn't actually report on all the good that has transpired in a historic first year in office. Yes, it has been a historic first year in office by many measures.

Trump is not a policy guy. We all know this. Its not a shock. So to bring it up as if its a negative against him is silly. He won an election with everyone knowing he is not a policy guy. He is a communicator and a business savy individual and has come to prominence at a time where we desperately needed a business minded person in the White house.

Maybe you don't think that is informing himself but there is actual news being reported on Fox news. I know its not how many scoops of ice cream Trump gets or the pushing of a fake book to get a 25th amendment case together after Russia collusion crashed and burn but there is still news on Fox.

It's not made up. It wasn't politically motivated. And it did not set out with the intention to smear President Trump.

Feinstein again makes the claim that nothing of substance has been disproven. Simpson catagorizes the dossier as an initial draft/memo/product.

The dossier is raw intelligence. Gossip. But gossip by people in a position to know certain things. As far as I can tell, there are some details that are flat out wrong but also information that anticipated things that were later revealed to be true by several months. Also I far as I can tell, the FBI was correct in taking it seriously and using it as the basis for further investigation. We need to let that investigation run its course.

One more thing. Imo Graham and Grassley engaged in a form of witness intimidation when they referred Steele to the FBI for investigation. They are probably immunized from prosecution for this since they acted in their capacity as members of Congress. But that immunity doesn't wash away the stench.
