How the Skankees value Mac is rather irrelevant. No team is giving up any player worth a damn for an expensive 33 year old catcher on the decline. If they are comfortable wasting 18ish million per year on a backup catcher/part-time DH, then more power to them. I rather doubt they feel that way though.
