Only been good for a few. Guys aren’t swinging at his balls so he has to throw strikes.

Are we really going to have to hear those damn annoying drums in Oakland all game long or have they stopped doing that?

Now, we gotta just bite the bullet and call up the kids from Rome - all four of em. They can go back to “top of rotation camp” next spring.

He was actually a pretty good starter for a while and when he wasn't having as much success, he became a reliever... he's pretty much been solid most of his career.

    2014: 3.0 fWAR
    2015: 3.5
    2016: 2.7

He struggled in 2017 as a starter and in 2019 as a reliever. Other than those two years, he's been solid to very good.

Interesting that two scoreless innings dropped Rodriguez era from 9.00 to 3.38.

    Good job Slippy.
    And Cy’s mom.
Now let’s get on the road where we play much better.

A win by a TD - I’ll take it! Great game by Acuna and holy cow what a catch from Money Mike. Let’s put in a good road trip

Tonight will be telling from a line-up perspective. Murphy aka a top 10 player in baseball this year is currently not able to get more than 2 starts in a row.

He just went 5 of 9 these past two games, AND is also making his first return to his old team. If he can't get a 3rd start in a row tonight, then we just have to accept our manager believes the best way to utilize Murphy is to literally play him no more than 2 of every 3 games.

Granted, this should really be the easiest thing to manage. If we really want to be conservative on Murphy's usage, at least let him DH "every-other off-day" he has, such that he'd be basically catching 4 of every 6, he'd DH on of of the days off, and sit the other day - in that case we get his bat in the line-up 5 of every 6 games. Ozuna would sit on the one day Murphy DH's, so we still get good Ozuna bat in the line-up at least 5 of 6 games - and we can probably limit that to 4 of 6 if Snit deems its that essential to play TD more than 2 of every 6.

In that system every 6 games we get Murphy 5x, Ozuna 4-5x and TD 2-3x.

I’m actually in full support of resting Murphy frequently, especially with the production Ozuna gives us at DH and TDA being an above average catcher. I wish Snitker would make more efforts to rest our other star players.

I would expect him to rest after catching last night and taking a long flight to Oakland. It would be different if we didn’t have a capable backup. You guys used to bitch all the time about how Snitker didn’t rest his players, now some are complaining that the one guy that needs more rest (catcher) is being rested too much. You guys just look for **** to whine about
