I disagree. I think on paper Kasich and Walker are the best choices. Other than that I just don't believe Jeb can get over the Bush stigma. The Bush stigma is part of his resume. And I just think his position is bland. We need a guy who has some interesting ideas. I think Jeb Bush was huge loser tonight. And most would recognize I'm a huge pub homer. I won't vote for Bush in the next election. If Bush wins I'll vote for Johnson or Trump.

I think Rubio, Kasich, and Huckabee were winners tonight.

Jeb didn't do much to hurt himself tonight. Walker and Cruz didn't either.

I think Ben Carson is an intelligent man. I really liked his closing statement. However, he didn't sound tough or assertive enough for my liking. And yes, I also saw looking down at his notes as well. He needs to be stronger in his tone if he's going to be a serious candidate.

Wasn't very impressed with Christie and Paul. Rand Paul's eyeroll during the dust-up was childish, I thought.

Donald Trump was the biggest loser to me tonight. Too much snipping at the other candidates and moderators. And he also danced around the questions a lot. Especially when he was asked about his resorts filing for bankruptcy. Biggest non-answer from anyone tonight. I look for him to drop in the polls after tonight.

Full admission, I haven't been a fan of Trump. But, I was going to give him a chance in this debate and see how he did. All he did tonight was verify in my mind why I didn't consider him presidential. The one liners and tough talk will only go so far.

He didn't appeal to me either. But I think tonight hell keep his 20%. That's a big issue for the republicans.

Halfway through and Trump hasn't been that bad.

The Paul-Christie exchange was definitely the highlight so far. Rubio and Walker laying low.

Jeb stumbling on the Iraq question.

Per NPR, Rand was given the least amount of speaking time at 4:54. Would have bet on that if I could. Thought he had the best close of anyone FWIW.

Kasich sounded far too reasonable to be up there.

Basically talked about how he is a different kind of Republican than the rest of those on stage. Also threw in that he's the only one leading HRC in five states that voted Obama.

Those Reps who simply want the guy with the best chance to win should pay more attention to this dude.

Yeah, we kinda all were in agreement we thought Rubio did very well. He can create some momentum I think with his background (as long as he doesn't overdo it), and youthful energy.

I think Carson isn't serious this year, but with some polish he could add something in a few years. I'd honestly like his voice somewhere in the gov't at some point though. Like I said earlier, probably the smartest guy on the stage by far he just lacks the polish that the other career politicians have. I'd look for Jeb to improve in the next debate, as I think he has some good views to offer and probably knew the Iraq question was coming and would have to knock his brothers moves.

I didn't like Walker at ALL.

    HRC won last night.

    That's the best y'all got ???

    1) A guy that buys and sells politicians
    2) An MD that approves of waterboaring as long as no one knows
    3) A man that would invoke the 14th Ammendmet to support a fetus
    4) The presumptive front runner still can't explain his families involvement in the greatest foreign policy bluneder in our history
    5) An eye roller
    6) A sitting Governor who's claim to fame is he won a recall then proceded to run his state in the ground
    7) Ted Cruz ...

then those that didn't totally embarrass the notion of an executive branch

Christie -- Will one day be the VP if he stays out of prison. Joe Biden circa 1988
Rubio -- Still a light weight but not bat **** crazy. He may develop
Kasich -- Who was reasonable. I disagree with 95% of his policies but, he is reasonable and is far from the loose cannon of numbers 1-7

You never disappoint. You say HRC while she is getting investigated by the FBI for yet another scandal... I know I know, save your breath, you don't think it's a big deal at all.

I always hear about the republicans being dinosaurs. yet I'm seeing a field that includes a woman, a black man, and indian man, a hispanic man, a quasi-libertarian, and business men/women. Seems like a bice diverse set of young and old candidates.

I don't agree with much on their policies... but it's clearly a strong group of formidable people who are intelligent. Get over your partisanship for one second. HRC may very well win bc the country is starved for hand-holding.

I thought the last three on my list were very formidable.

As a (D) Kasich worries me.

Yes, HRC, won the night because she has never invoked Rosie O'Donnell as a prop for misogyny.
    That was the front runner

As far as the peoples demographics --- get past whether they have a vagina or a penis or they are pasty white or black as night. They all advocate the same policies. Some more outlandishly than others
What was it Dorothy Parker said about Katherine Hepburn "She ran the whole gamut of emotions from A to B."
