Miguel Jerez is intriguing, 19-year-old LHP listed at 5-11. Gave up his first hit in the GCL today, and it was an infield single. GCL numbers: 8.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 6 BB, 10 K.

Total numbers including DSL: 17.1 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 6 BB, 20 K.

Dexter "DJ" Neal was leading off and playing CF for the GCL Blue Jays today. He was the Braves' 32nd round pick in 2015, but honored a football scholarship to play at the University of South Carolina. He left the Gamecocks in the spring of his freshman season and transferred to the University of South Carolina-Sumter (JC) to play baseball. He played one season there and hit .331/.390/.454. Drafted in the 26th round by the Blue Jays and signed. Very highly ranked when he was in high school, in a couple of Top 100 prospects lists.
