I've seen him hit 95 when he really needed to, but 88-91 is definitely where he gets that movement that comes with great command.

    Just outstanding.

And we get him for $9m a year, exactly what we offered Heyward!

Yeah, we don't want him in that range.

This is why I was never as down on Fredi as some of you. The roster he was given last year was ****. There were no moves to make. You couldn't judge him by that year.

Good AB by Maybin there, had a bad call go against him, fought off some tough pitches before knocking in two runs.

No. I've seen him do it a couple times when he thought it would work to his advantage (via surprise).

Almost every hitter was the exact same and there was too many black holes. Wren's roster constructiuon was a joke.

Fredi said before the game Maybin is starting tomorrow along with Gomes and AJ.

#Braves Fredi G plans to play Gomes, Pierzynski and Maybin (CF) on Wednesday. Peterson or Maybin will lead off.

I've been saying it since we traded Gatti and reiterated it after Kimbrel trade. This is going to be one of the legendary managerial seasons we'll be talking about for years. You'll tell your lil grand guvs that you were there when Fredi lead this patchwork team to the promise land.
    Forever Fredi

Again... we led the majors in wins the last 5 years... Calm down on the roster bashing

I haven't read this yet but this tweet sounds sad, makes me feel bad for him because he had a great ST:

A day after tears of joy, Braves’ Ciriaco sent down http://on-ajc.com/1y2jJmE #Braves

    I just read it, ouch:

“Here’s a guy on Saturday, you bring him into the office and he’s scared to death, because he doesn’t know what’s going to happen. And I say, congratulations, you made the team, barring anything crazy. And he starts crying. He had expected to be sent down. I tell him he had a hell of a spring and all the reasons we’re going to go with him, and he starts crying and he goes, ‘It’s the first time I’ve made an opening day roster.’"

I think it was just an odd mix of players, but it was a line-up that you had to sit back and let perform. Not a lot one could do with it except hope they hit.
