What a nice way to get Gohara's feet wet for 2017. I got to admit, Snitker has been managing the team much better this season. He's been pulling the right strings with these guys and deserves some credit for it. Didn't think I'd ever say as much coming into this year.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Maybe... could also be a chance that last year's dominance was a blip on the radar. There's a reason or 2 that Mariners traded him... and just as a preemptive parry against the binary thinkers in here, this comment is coming from a HUGE Gohara fan. Just saying, we might all be putting unrealistic expectations on him

I'm not quoting myself but I'll say it too, you're welcome everyone... Albies, you do you, just keep going.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Last 3 or 4 games, no doubt about it - Newcomb has reached unprecedented levels w/ his command (While Folty has been trending the other way, IMO). Based on what little knowledge I have, just my own observations: here's how I rank them, in terms of their current ability to command the baseball consistently (list warning):
1. McCarthy
2. Newcomb
3. Teheran
4. Soroka
5. Folty
If Anibal was healthy & throwing like he was at the outset of the season, I'd probably have him up there above Newcomb...maybe?
I would just like to state, for the record, that I am a Folty fan too. I just get frustrated w/ the guy sometimes, and lately he's been driving me crazy. I like FBs that miss bats, and his is so much better in that regard when he doesn't overthrow. Lately he's been trying to throw the ball 500mph, it's been straight as an arrow and nobody knows exactly where it will end up. His stuff is so much better when it is 94-96 w/ great movement than 98-100 w/ no movement at all, and that is what we see when he has stretches of brilliance.
