We want separation of church and state, throw Kim Davis into prison over it, but the Pope is allowed to address our government? And treated like a rock star?

I'm not sure I understand. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, actually seems to bring an element of humility that's been missing from the Papacy, but I don't understand the red carpet treatment from our politicians.

My thoughts exactly. I think it's hilarious that Goldy is worshiping the guy... I guess bc he agrees with his politics

He is the head of the state.

    it isn't hard to understand.

to compare Kim Davis to a head of state visiting is funny though

Yes, it's an apples/oranges comparison. I'm not saying they are directly comparable, it's Americans being upset about one thing, then bowing down to the next. Just saying our government is falling all over themselves for this, and I don't see why.

You don't believe in God, correct? What's any of this to you? I'm sincerely curious.

He doesn't have a state. Catholicism is allowed that position for some crazy reason. I'm all for rescinding the Vatican's nation status.

I have to say I actually don't have a problem with Pope Francis. He's just giving his opinion and he seems like a thoughtful person. But I will say that I am bored to tears with the Pope coverage. I can't wait till he leaves. I can't imagine possibly being the least bit interested in the Pope.
    thank you weso1!

Nor the liberal fawning over him.

109 acres, smaller than your average cotton plantation.

    I'll say the obvious.

The main reason he's getting all this attention is because his message seems controversial and inflammatory during this campaign season, they can package it to stir up even more news, leading to . . .

    MORE NEWS AND CONTROVERSY!!!

    This article cracked me up

Liberals are now mad at the Pope for visiting with Kim Davis and showing support.
