I wonder if that's why he was so amped during his starts.

Also, would drug testing the league does test positive for cocaine?

At this point, feel worse for his unborn child that his/her dad would get drunk and coked up and go out on the ocean at 3 in the morning two days before a scheduled start. Will look back on his death with far less sympathy that the media wants us to feel.

Likely but cocaine processes through the body very quickly

Why because you never did anything stupid that you really could have killed yourself or others while you were still maturing. I know there are a few times I said, what the Hell... I was lucky. it sucks he died.. it sucks he probably was driving and killed two others. It was dumb and immature.. but I am the last guy who should cast any stones..

    Fixed.

Yeah. I agree that releasing this info, that quite frankly many probably assumed anyway, does no one any good. His family should get some say in whether the info is released or not.

    Maybe they did.

I don't think they really have a choice.

Life insurance or property damage insurance issues? I have no idea, but my guess is information like this could be used to determine blame.

Its been almost 30 years since we have had a President who did not publicly admit to doing illegal drugs. Just because the government makes something illegal does not make it immoral. If you drink alcohol you have no grounds to tell other people they cant take a drug.

Whether he was doing drugs or not doesn't affect my sympathy for his death. If anything, it makes it sadder bc it might have been preventable.

Don't turn this around on me. I realized at an early age that no one was responsible for my actions but me. I had to work my way through college with a fulltime job waiting for me the day I got my diploma. The only crazy things I ever did, I was stone cold sober when I did them (aside from some secondary smoke at an Eagles concert in Birmingham, but no laws were broken). Robin Williams famously said that "Cocaine is God's way of telling you that you have too much money." A suitable epitaph for this kid.

Rico, I think I turned it around on me more than you... I said I empathize with the situation that I can think back to my youth and even young adult life and say I did some stupid things that I was probably more lucky to survive than anythi0sng else. And some where sober as well.. I knew a lot of guys in their 20s that should not have lived to their next birthdays. JF was just another one of those guys IMO that didn't live to their next birthday. It is sad and unfortunate and I really don't view this situation much different because he was high.. The fact that he was full throttle at night was monumentally dumb, regardless if he was high or not.. So I knew before any toxicology report that those 3 guys made very stupid decisions that evening.

An excess of responsibility doesn't excuse an absence of sympathy.

Why don't we leave the politics to Hillary and Trump?

They're more than capable of butchering a discussion about this without our help.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

And just think how easy it would've been for him to employ a sober driver who could've at least played co-pilot and kept them from running into rocks.
