As of today, there have been 293 mass shootings in America.
There have been over 10k gun deaths and over 20k injuries total, not including suicides.
Those are just the numbers so far in 2019.

Not intentioning to marginalize their deaths but 6 vaping deaths warrant a POTUS and GOP call to action.

Weird how 6 people die from vaping and the federal government
institutes a ban within weeks,

Faulty logic. If you want to say pushing for a ban on flavored e-cigarettes means those same people should push for a ban on guns, you could apply that logic to many things.
Cars is obvious and overused example. Car accidents kill 40,000 Americans every year. However, we can come up with better examples.
Some 300 people die each year falling off ladders. Should we ban ladders?
Around 250 people die each year from contact with agricultural machinery. So no more combine harvesters?
About 650 people die each year from falling out of bed. So we should have to sleep on the floor now?
Around 3,500 people die in pools each year. So fill in all the pools?
It's not really a good argument to say if we're banning e-cigarettes we should be banning guns. The better argument is what makes e-cigarettes worth this extreme of action?
Honestly, if you want to vape and destroy your lungs, that's your choice. If they're going to take action, ban vaping from all public buildings like has been done with cigarettes. I don't want to have to walk through someone's nasty, chemical filled cotton candy mist to pick up a bag of bread.

as opposed to cars,ladders,pools,Ag Equipment and baby and toddler beds where, something has been done.
Ever installed or had a pool installed ? Had you you would know the extra cost and precaution that comes with the package due to deaths.
Cars, gotten a reckless driving charge? Do you register your car and is your license up to date ? Insuranc you have I am sure.
Ever noticed of ladders how now there are grips on the steps ? Ever read the booklet that comes with a ladder? Ever worked construction and had an OSHA inspection where a ladder was found not in compliance ?

people without a political axe to grind would have read that quote and wondered why weapons deserve sacrosanct status while pools,cars and ladders miss the mark

I can’t speak for others, but I attempted to get a gun permit in NY and gave up due to the hassle. Let’s not act like there are no laws or restrictions in place.
I think the implication of that tweet was for some kind of ban.
Additionally, not all safety features are the result of regulation. Many are the result of potential tort liability for manufacturing a product with a design flaw. Gun manufacturers have that liability as well. If a gun manufacturer uses insufficiently strong steel and your gun explodes in your hands, you can sue.
Registrations of vehicles and driver's licenses are only required for vehicles driven on public roadways. If you carry a gun in public, you have to be licensed.
And I don't think weapons should deserve sacrosanct status. I'm all for some reasonable regulations on guns. I just think the regulations need to be driven by research and not emotional reactions.
why does any conversation concerning regulating firearms immediately jump to ban or confiscation ?
The quote where " I think the implication..." never mentions ban but does sarcastically note "nothing can be done"
"I think the implication" reminds me of the poster that wrote of Clinton Foundation during the 2016 " leaves the impression of possible conflict of interest"
