If Riley's spot comes up, do you PH Contreras?

Pen kept us in it, but that's about to end. I won't complain about using him down 2 though. Braves couldn't score 2 runs late in the game with a ghost runner at 2b

Second bases loaded walk in this game pretty much seals our fate.

Cy's right--the Red Sox own us until proven otherwise.

    Classic Snit.

Team fights back, and he uses the back end.

Off day yesterday, another one Thursday. What would be the point of saving your best guys if we tie andw alk off?

I was being facetious…that’s all we’ve been hearing about Boston’s bullpen but the number of their guys tonight project otherwise.

I wouldn't DFA him. Hopefully Rosario can platoon with him in lf before too long with an actual good player in cf

Thought you were talking about ours since Thornburg was in the game.

Frenchy, shut the F up. Everyone of the Red Sox relievers tonight had an era in the 2s or lower. That's what I get for getting excited listening to him talking about how their pen sucks... their pen doesn't suck near as much as your game prep

It's not only about "saving" guys. Like raising children, you've got to give them enough space to screw up and grow from it.

He could've pulled Matzek and Thornberg at the first sign of trouble today, Wright too for that matter, and Boston might've scored less runs but all 3 pitchers would've been left feeling broken. "Just didn't have it today" is a phrase you don't want any players to buy into. Things can go good or bad in an instant. Snit let them stew in it and maybe hurt the team's chances to win this one game, but he also used the adversity of the moment to give them something positive to build on. Players, and especially young players, need as much on the job training as they can get.

Pretty rough loss. Seen lots of those so far this season. Hopefully, it changes soon.

On the bright side, Olson hit the ball well and wright didn't fold when he got clobbered in the 2nd.

I think I'd give Riley a day off today. That would give him 2 days off to maybe reset
