I said in ST that we'd probably regret not trading Aybar when we could because I knew he was in decline. Personally, I think one has to be blind to not see the red flags with him if they watched him the last few years. It wasn't hard to predict he'd have little to no value in a trade at the deadline.
That said, I liked the Chacin signing but didn't like dumping his so fast.

I know the minor leagues can only take in account for so much, but isn't the point of taking that, you know, your big league roster is kinda going to suck?
