Conversely, Baez and Soler could fix RF and 2B/3B for a really long time.
But I am an outlier on Baez. I still love him. He was a top 5 prospect in all of baseball less than two years ago who had an awful debut that no one seems to be able to get over. I think there is a bit of a market inefficiency with post-hype players.

Unless Arizona is interested in trading for him, I'd rather take a look at him next year.

we have, what, 5 years of Inciarte? I play him next year to see where he fits on our team. Move him next offseason if need be, but we have been complaining about needing to get bats for the lineup, we get one, im not interested in turning around and giving it away before playing a game for us
I'm not arguing against holding onto him, but he's really not a big bat. He looks like a terrific defender who will not embarrass himself with the stick. More compelling than, say, Bourn/Live RH Platoon Partner, but not a difference-maker.
I think I'd rather trade Mallex than Inciarte. However, the bulk of Inciarte's value comes from defense, and we know the Braves probably don't value that as highly as other organizations as evidenced by not resigning Heyward and trading away Simmons.
I have to imagine a Teheran/Inciarte package would bring back another pretty huge haul...maybe from the Cubs? They need a SP and a CF.
I'd trade Smith before Inciarte as well. He's good and established.

It's time for me to experience with a new team and organization some even better experiences. #TimetobeBrave
