I agree. Imagine if the Cubs then went out and signed Heyward. Their starting position players would be Montero, Rizzo, Zobrist, Bryant, Russell, Schwarber, Inciarte, Heyward. Easily the best young lineup in the game. A rotation of Arrieta, Lester, Teheran, Lackey and some guy pulled from the Wrigley stands is outstanding as well.

um, I think I agree with you. I have no interest in Minor.. if a 'veteran' starter is needed, then take a flier on Fister. you know someone who didn't have shoulder surgery and is able to throw off a mound by now..

because he hasn't been bad his whole career. Pre-surgery he was emerging as one of the best LHP in the NL.

I don't want Minor back but to say he was bad for most of his career is flat out wrong. When healthy he was widely considered as one of the big up and comers in the Majors.

for one year of Paps.. heck yes. except how many slap hitting SS/2nd does one org need right now... love Victor though..

only issue is where do you pitch Paps.. Grilli needs high leverage innings for trade value. Viz is our closer and needs to continue to prove such..

meh.. Julio may be to valuable to us by this time next year.. Julio for Springer is enough IMO.. add Mallex and CB to get a prospect back..
