If I were Snitker, I'd try to develop a set line-up for the second half of the season (until September when a lot of auditioning will be taking place). Scrap the reflexive platooning. Get the guys in the bullpen into set roles instead of constantly working match-up angles.

I'd certainly prefer Inciarte to be in RF, but I think the bigger priority needs to be to trade Markakis than to shift him out of Right.

I'm as big an Inciarte fan as any but I must agree here, if keeping Markakis in RF is because we're looking to trade him at or before the deadline. Then OK fine I'll deal with it. Time will tell I guess.

Why not Inciarte in center and Smith in left then

I'd do that as I said before but my bigger issue is wasting Inciarte in LF. Smith has been good enough in CF that at least with him you're getting plus defense unlike with Markakis. But I agree that Inciarte is the best OF and CFer on the team anywhere he plays.

JUst assuming they don't want Ender to risk injuring his hammy again playing center.
