Ozzie hits #18 in 1st!!! WOW!!!
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......

And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Brian Anderson would be the perfect player for this year’s club.

Cy, he pulled an Andruw Jones of not hustling.

Cox would have pulled him but I saw what you saw.

One of my favorite thing about showing traditional statistics as opposed to the advanced metrics, is how these dinosaurs will show “99.3% fielding percentage” instead of “99%” as if there’s a tangible difference between the two.

If he did, it wasn't exactly the textbook example of "hustle."

He was pulled last year for not hustling. Snitker may be giving him the BoD because of his groin injury.

So albies has 3 homers in 2+ games after acuna called him out for not being strong enough after that triple high off the wall in Minnesota.

Meanwhile in Flushing, Stroman has struck out seven of the first nine Nats he's faced in his Citi Field debut.

Didn't the Blue Jays take a pittance for Stroman in return for what they got from the Mets?

It was a terrible trade by the Mets. Until you saw what they gave up. Have no idea what the Jays were thinking.

And per Reddit AA, the Braves offered an “overpay” for him and the Blue Jays didn’t as so much return a counter offer.

I really don't get that. Why would they take less from NY than from Atlanta--some sort of retribution against former Toronto exec AA?

Ozzie with his 18th tonight. Needs only 2 more for 20. Can Swanson get back in time to hit 3 HRs?? That would give him 20 and be the 5th regular Brave to have 20 HRs this year.

Freddie needs 1 HR for 30, Josh needs 4 for 30.
