Dude needs to run, but come on...
Seriously. It's like the house was burning down and guys stopped to blow out a candle.

Teixeira wishes he could hit like Acuna in the playoffs. Career 222 hitter with a 659 OPS. Dude is as big of a choker as they come.

I am serious- white people are ruining the game. (I'm white, btw)

There's a reason NBA and NFL are so far ahead now.

Chipper is such a piece of ****.

That's really all you can say.

I wish there were a team that didn't have any white players. I'd root for them so hard.

The 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates started an all-non-white lineup. World Series champs that year I believe.

Acuna is an ungodly talent. Fans love him. Plays the game with flash and bravado and moxie. Love the gold chain. He represents what the future should be.

    But noooooo.

We can't even have our own guy with the retired number support him.

    **** YOU CHIPPER.

    Two things can be true.

Acuna has to run out of the box on these borderline fly balls. If he wants to sit there and pimp a 450-foot bomb, go for it. But he can't be walking out of the box on a ball that doesn't go out.

Also, people have gone overboard on the criticism of it. Both of those things can be true.

The criticism of him over the chains and jewelry and stuff is dumb. The criticism of him not running out of the box is not. Has it gone too far? Yes. But it is something he needs to address.

Obviously not the reason we lost the series, but it's something he needs to fix.
"Acuna is getting lucky, just like CJ did when he batted .321 and won a batting title. He is unlikely to get lucky at the MLB level over an extended period of time. He will settle in around .300-.320 just like everyone else, and when he does, he won't be within shouting distance of the 1.000 OPS he is posting in AAA...more like low .700s in 2018." -Enscheff 8/25/17

Good thing Kelsey and the translator have this under control.

Teixeira needs to stfu. All he did was set the Braves back years while not taking us to the playoffs.

He didn't do nearly as much damage as J.D. Drew. Remember, we traded Wainwright for the selfish little *****.

J.D. Drew at least took us to the playoffs the year he was here. Tex was a straight up bust.

No he wasn't. He put up 5.6 fWAR in 157 games for the Braves. He wasn't the problem on those teams.

I apologize. I meant that Tex was a bust in terms of getting us to the playoffs not specifically his on field performance.

I'll gladly take 20 gold chains, endless throat slash gestures, and a couple failures to run out singles off the wall if it comes with a 1.454 OPS in the playoffs.

If you're stinking up the join with a ~.650 mark, maybe you sit down and think about what you could have done to help out a bit more.

Yeah. JS' finest moment in that trade.

Oh good. Now the Phillies and (I think their owner) are talking about Acuña not running. JFC people need to get a life and find something relevant to complain about. It happens twice in two years. TWICE.

My concern is the Braves ask him to tone down the way he plays and it starts to hinder his game. He plays with emotion and fun. That’s what makes him great. In fact, didn’t he start to slump after the last time the spoke to him?

That’s basically my view point. Let Ozzie and Acuña be themselves. They are the engine that makes this team go. If people are getting in the way of that they need to go.
