And Riley sucks just as bad. Ks on a pitch that almost hit his back foot.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......

And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod

Has he had a day off yet? He seems to tire easily. I'd have given him both these Mets games off

I find it interesting that Smoltz is giving Anderson--a guy who grew up in upstate New York--a pass for not being able to find "his feel" in this cool weather. I'd think it wouldn't be that big a deal for him. Anyone who's lived in that part of the country knows how brutal the winters can be.

Hint for RAJ--getting picked off again is a really bad idea. In other news, Freeman's having a hard time picking up the ball out of Peterson's delivery.

Yea, it's not really a surfeit or lack of Braves homerism; it's his nearly-constant get-off-my-lawn, Joe-Simpson-acolyte bemoaning of the State of the Game.

It wouldn't have been a bad plan, given how well Hechavarría hits LHPs.

Respect Alonso for speaking out against the abysmal compensation minor-leaguers receive for their labor.

Wish we could actually hear anything else he's saying.

Yeah, I think it's fair to say that Smoltz hasn't exactly embraced the contemporary metrics and trends within the game. In the bigger picture, that attitude may have a strongly detrimental effect on his employability as a color commentator.

Definitely two different zones tonight. One of the signs of a bad ump is having different zones for right handed pitchers and left handed pitchers.

I honestly think baseball could do better with trained squirrels calling games.

That's what jpx said in an earlier post and it's a hard point with which to argue.

He’s Fox’s number one commentator. He’s not going anywhere.

He’s through being an elite player. He’ll probably steadily fall out of the MVP race over the final week.
