    Game 7 Circle of Trust

Ok so this isn’t a GDT but instead a thread to discuss the game 7 strategy pregame.

Every pitcher on our roster has pitched in this series and every hitter has gotten at least a couple PA. So who are we trusting to win Game 7.

Hitters are simple for the most part. I trust the normal lineup and Camargo. Riley’s been bad but he can run into one and I’m not really sure what else you’d do in that spot.

Now for the pitchers. I think you hope for another 4 clean innings from Anderson and then turn the game over to our best relievers

    Lefties

    Matzek
    Minter

    Righties

    Martin
    Melancon
    O’Day
    Greene

If anyone else comes in the game is either being mismanaged or the game has gone off the rails.

This is game 7. It can’t go off the the rails. You pitch your best every time.

FYI looks like the Dodgers are unclear on who starts tonight. They aren't set on Gonsolin. Could be Graterol as an opener followed by Urias or Gonsolin. Of course them not announcing is an attempt to keep us off balance which will probably work

Not sure how it affects us. We just prepare for all... order isn't important. Our lineup is pretty much set.

I trust Nick and Camargo more than Riley.

Braves hitters have been more miss than hit for series. Freddie is the only one who has hit safely in all 6 games. Ozzie has hit in 5 of six, Neck has hit safely in 3 of 4 games that he has played, Pache has hit in 4 of 5 games which he started,. Swanson, TDA, Ozuna, and Riley have hit in 3 of 6 games with Riley the only player NOT to have multi hit games in 6 starts. He is 3 for 24 with 9 Ks. Camargo is 2 for 6 with a Dbl as 1 of his hits.

    Acuna 4/21, Freddie 9/21, Ozuna 7/24, TDA 4/19, Ozzie 9/25, Swanson 6/24, Riley 3/23, Neck 4/11, Pache 4/16

With these numbers in mind, I would NOT start Riley today. Start Camargo at 3rd, Neck in LF.

Swanson shot his wad yesterday with 3 of 4, Ozuna should produce today, Acuna is questionable with the bat(has had 1 multi game), TDA falls into questionable area with 1 multi hit game, Ozzie has been Ozzie with a couple of multi hit games to go with a hitless game. Freddie will be Freddie adding a couple of hits. All of this with a non committal pitcher from Dodgers.

My guess is Braves have 11 hits today with 2 hits w/RISP, 2 HRs and 7 runs.

Acuna finds the magic again tonight. I've been calling for it for 3rd straight game... I'll either be right, or on to off-season thread imo. Gotta have Ronald tonight

It all comes down to Anderson for me. They are gonna be patient and try to get his pitch count up. If we can get the energy up early I think we can win it. Our guys have been flat the past 2 games. We need something to get them worked up. Even if Snit has to get ejected to do it.

Quite sure he takes the ball if they give it to him, but it was pretty stupid of Snitker to have Martin throw 30 pitches when we were down 2 with 7-9 coming up.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I don't start Markakis or Riley. Go with Camargo and Culberson instead.

Our first order of strategy should be to wear the away greys.

I agree and we also need Anderson to toss a shutout because we haven't a single hit against TBD. He must be an ace...

The good news is that, because it's game seven, we'll be able to deploy out of the bullpen some of our really effective starters, such as...um...and, uh....
