At a minimum there needs to some sort of salary cap to limit large market teams such as the Dodgers, Cubs, Yanks, or Sox. Their rebuilds don’t last nearly as long as mid to low market teams because they can throw a stack at whomever they want to speed it up.
I feel you’re pain because the Dodgers can sign Betts this year and turn around and sign Seager and Bellinger to the same contracts and we can’t.

You gotta be proud of these guys. They shouldn't have made this game. It is a bummer the way it played out but no worse than the 1997 Game 7 loss to the Marlins in the Gregg game.
We need to improve the utility players.
Strengthen bench
Lengthen lineup
Bring back bullpen guys
Sign a couple of starters.
Money is going to be tight but there might be a good market to spend it. A lot of teams are going to be nervous and some might feel pressured to shed payroll. A lot will depend on how everyone thinks next year will play out. There will probably be fans but there is no certainty. A lot of fans may still be skiddish even if stadiums are open. Normally we could cash in on our success but I don’t know. Our TV contract could hurt even more.
Well, helluva series and a great year! They took it as far as they were supposed to.

Absolutely crushing.

We all knew this was the outcome when they blew game-five. Two close, utterly-soul-crushing losses to clinch an exit.
I just wish the universe would’ve proven our guts wrong for once.

Still stewing. This one got me good. Going to have to not watch any sports for a while.
You’re all great—even the ones of you who sometimes aren’t.
The pieces will take some time to pick up.
