Knowing the people of the district, Cawthorn's antics, and all I've heard about Edwards from mutual acquaintances, I would have been shocked if Cawthorn had pulled that out. WNC is an Honor Culture kinda place that just doesn't suffer fools.

Madison did pretty well in the smaller rural counties. But the folks in Buncombe County (and a couple other larger counties) went with the hard pass on his antics.

Interesting data here. So 75% of the pro choice crowd answered that a woman...err... birthing person should be able to get an abortion for any reason. Then only 35% of the same crowd said that abortion should be available because of the baby's gender. So I guess it's not just a medical procedure.
