    Soroka’s season may be delayed

I understand the logic here, but why not just send him to the plate and say “don’t swing the bat. Take 3 and sit down. You’re here to pitch, not hit.”

Nothing wrong with this. Give him all the time to completely heal.

If the injury isn’t healed enough to run I don’t want to see him pitching anyways. He is either 100% healthy or he doesn’t step foot on the field. He’s too important to risk for an extra few starts.

I seriously doubt he could pitch at the MLB level if he wasn’t healthy enough to run anyways. This story seems pretty pointless.

The article is even more dumb when you consider as a pitcher you have to run to field your position. Covering first base, fielding bunts, etc.

If the MLB season is delayed does that mean Soroka's season would NOT be delayed?

This was totally expected to me. There is no way to rush the healing of an Achilles if you don't want it hindering you for the rest of your life.
