I would assume it reasonable to interpret that as a significant presence of Antifa or fake Trump supporters, though I don’t make a habit of being charitable to the FBI. I just don’t see much reason for them to cover up for Antifa, as the FBI would concern itself with the far-left just as it does the far-right.

I’ve actually been vocal here in my defense of these idiots when it comes to the criminal justice system side of things (pre-trial, at least), but just pragmatically this doesn’t seem like a wise move. It shouldn’t be held against him unless you’re being liberal with contempt, but it is certainly not ideal for his defense.
