You could very easily rotate Turner/Ozuna/Riley with a DH. It does make acquiring a quality LHH much more important though.

I'm trying to remember the last time the Braves had a lineup where all eight positions were locked up by a dangerous player. I'm sure there will be some kind of catching platoon and Osuna likely comes out for late-inning defense, but if the starters stay healthy (knock wood), I can see all of them playing at least 140 games*

    * Assuming Camargo takes over third if Riley threatens the strikeout record.
** Projecting Pache as third outfielder, Inciarte as an expensive late-inning replacement.

The DH is key. I'd be shocked if Atlanta grabbed Justin Turner in general but he's much more logical if there is a DH.

    Acuna RF - Freeman 1B - Turner 3B/DH - Ozuna DH/LF - d'Arnaud C - Albies 2B - Swanson SS - Riley LF/3B/DH - Pache CF

I'd swap Turner and Ozuna in the lineup. Ozuna gives Freeman so much more protection. Turner keeps the line moving to TdA and Albies

If we are going down this imaginary rabbit hole you would hit Turner 2 then FF and so on.

FG did a good breakdown of the deal: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/marcell-...rn-to-atlanta/

    The takeaway...

Depending how much LF he plays, Ozuna is projected to produce 11.6-13.5 fWAR over the next 4 years for a total cost of $65M (it's safe to assume the 5th year option won't be picked up unless he goes Nelson Cruz on the aging curve). That's $4.8M-$5.6M per win. In other words, an amazingly good bargain, even if he's primarily a DH the rest of his career (and he probably is if 78 mph is all he can muster on his throws).

    Well done AA.

It’s crazy to think that we’ll have Freeman, Acuña, Albies and Ozuna under contract for about the price of Bauer this year.

How did he ever play CF?

I would be fine with us upgrading 3rd base. In saying that...Riley could figure things out (he’s still pretty young). Does that mean he will...who knows. I still wouldn’t trade Riley in a package unless you get a really good player in return. The chances are (maybe 40%) that he figures things out. That’s probably better than anything you could get in a trade.

The obvious answer is his arm wasn’t always this bad. Surgery on his right shoulder may have nuked his arm forever.
