First bit of 2021 news......JT Realmuto suffered a fractured right thumb today. It will be immobilized for the next 2 weeks. Hopeful he can still be ready for opening day.

He's certainly super talented, but I'd be surprised if he made more than 10-15 starts. Still, I assume it'll be a 1/2 year deal, so not a bad risk/reward for a guy you expect to be your 5th starter at some point this season.

2022 - $7m
2023 - $6m base with escalators that could make it $8.5m; $3m buy out.
